Typical plant products include anise, bay leaf, bergamot, cardamom, cedar wood, eucalyptus, frankincense, gardenia, geranium, iris, jasmine, lavender, lemon, lilac, lily, lily of the valley, magnolia, moss, neroli, orange, orris, patchouli, pine, raspberry, rose, sage, sandalwood, tuberose, vanilla, violet and ylang-ylang.
Be honest, would you be more attracted to someone who exudes a little confidence than to some who is down on the world and a picture of misery. Confident people have an aura about them and just wants to make one be part of their world.
However, the most widely known purpose and the one which has always attracted the most attention is the use of pheromones as a means of sexual attraction. Pheromones as a sexual attractant were identified as far back as 1956 when scientists extracted a compound from certain glands on the abdomen of the silkworm moth. This pheromone which they named bombykol was found to have an amazing effect on male silkworm moths. When exposed to it they immediately went into a frenzied "flutter dance".
That's a good point but just dabbing a little pheromone product on your wrist, neck or chest is not a guarantee to a night of bliss and passion. Confidence is the key.
Some experts in the dating game who have examined the use of pheromones to attract women are coming to the conclusion that confidence is key here. The fact someone puts a little pheromone product on can increase the confidence levels within a person and a confident person most times is like a magnet to others.
Another notable study was conducted by Martha Mclintock in the 1970's when she observed that the menstrual cycles of groups of women who lived together tended to become synchronized. Further study revealed the startling fact that it was exposure to pheromones from other women which caused the changes in cycle.
So is this the mystery effect of pheromones? An increase in confidence levels which then radiate to those around the person wearing the product? It's certainly food for thought.
"What!...pheromones, what are you talking about Willis?" Pheromones to attract women is what I'm talking about and you better believe they are real. As real as typing in pheromones in your favorite search engine and coming up with thousands upon thousands of results on the subject.
Test subjects were exposed to sweat samples collected from other women. Their menstrual cycles slowed down or sped up depending on the time of month when the samples had been collected. The implications of this discovery for treatment of infertility or even contraception are obviously extremely exciting and it has been suggested that pheromones could also be used to alter mood and alleviate depression and stress.

That's all very well but do these same mechanisms of attraction and behavior modification apply to the most complex of mammals – man himself? This has long been debated.
